Middle East’s retailer LuLu Hypermarket-Saudi Arabia launches a week long Saudi Agro Fresh Fest "From Our Land" campaign in association with the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday (Feb. 18) at its four outlets located in Riyadh and Alkhobar. The event continues till Feb. 24.

The inauguration is at 8 p.m. on the opening day at LuLu Hypermarket on Khurais Road Exit 30 by Khalid Al-Fuhaid, deputy minister of agriculture.

Thariq Al-Mulhim, director of agricultural extension department, Eastern Province, will simultaneously inaugurate the event at the Alkhobar event.

As part of this event, LuLu will exhibit a wide range of locally grown fruits and vegetables at “affordable prices.” LuLu is making special offers on local fruits and vegetables during the festival.

Throughout this promotion period, the LuLu outlets in Riyadh and Alkhobar will be decorated with a display of local vegetables. As part of this event, all LuLu outlets will screen a video documentary produced by agricultural ministry, on the growth and development of the agricultural sector in the Kingdom.

Also, all LuLu outlets will be decorated with pictures of traditional agricultural equipment and other icons related to the agricultural sector. During this festival, local farms and nurseries will exhibit their plants at LuLu outlets.

During this promotion, Lulu’s meat department will make special offers on locally produced camel, lamb and poultry meats, and other meat related products. LuLu’s delicatessen department will offer Saudi produced cheese varieties.

LuLu outlets will exhibit more than 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables, which are produced in Al-Kharj, Qassim, Hail, Jazan, Qatif and Al-Ahsa.

Basher Al-Naser, LuLu’s administration manager, said: “All the nationalities residing in the Kingdom should make maximum use of this festival as locally produced fruits and vegetables are economically available to our customers.”
