InterContinental Jeddah has launched a program called I-Grads to develop and groom future leaders.

This is in line with their commitment to develop local talent within the hospitality industry.

The program was introduced in various universities and colleges to attract fresh Saudi graduates and diploma holders to this program.

The response from candidates was very positive.

The HR team shortlisted 24 internal and external candidates to this program from the KSA West Area after carrying out telephone and behavioral interviews.

The final I-Grads were selected on December 16 at an assessment center organized at the InterContinental Jeddah.

They will embark on an 18-month training program after which they will be guaranteed a line manager or assistant department head level position within the company.

The participants went through a series of individual and group exercises. Twelve senior HR and Operational leaders assessed them to verify whether they possessed IHG’s Leadership Competencies.

Anjum Khan, area training manager, KSA West and govt. hotels, and Mohamed Aleemuddin, area training manager KSA East & Central, facilitated the operations of the entire center.

More than 50 percent of the participants have been selected to join this program.
