In a bid to make its strong comeback in the smartphone industry, LG unveiled its V20 smartphone on Nov. 10, following its V10 launch.
LG stated that it has added a number of minor improvements in the V20 compared to V10.
V20 comes in a metal body made from lightweight aluminum and a light silicone-based material. It comes with MIL-STD 810G drop protection, to withstand drops up to 4 feet.
V20 has a pair of rear cameras with a 16-megapixel F/1.8 regular camera and an 8-megapixel F/2.4 wide-angle camera offering a 135-degree view.
LG claimed that its V20 has performed well enough to pass the military-standard transit drop test. All kinds of tests were performed to assure the bursting capabilities of this smart device such as dropping it against a steel bar in addition to other testing forms.
V20 is described as the first smartphone to include quad DAC for cleaner playback, to get the best stream sound in the highest quality. LG collaborated with B&O, one of the world’s major audio system manufacturers.
V20’s steady record 2.0, an upgrade from steady record 1.0, offers more accurate video stabilization enabling to take a clear, stable video while walking along the trail.
To track and capture fast moving objects even in low light settings and without losing focus,V20 is fitted to utilize three focus technologies — PDAF, LDAF, Contrast AF.
V20 also features a 5.7-inch quad HD IPS quantum display, for a pixel density of 515ppi. It includes a secondary display, same like V10. This display measures 2.1-inches with a resolution of 1040x160 for a pixel density of 513ppi.
Being the first phone with Android Nougat pre-installed, the multi-window feature is said to be the perfect complement to the second screen.
