Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) participated in a specialized workshop, which reviewed the most important investment opportunities in the field of CIT.

The workshop was organized by the Communications Commission and attended by a number of specialists in the field of CIT at the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dammam.

Jihad Alammar, senior investment specialist manager, represented Mobily in this workshop, which focused on the investment opportunities in the CIT field. He defined the concept of venture capital and its objectives and discussed Mobily’s experience in this area.

Alammar explained how investing in emerging companies can be beneficial and how large companies can take advantage of the creativity that stems from such companies.

He continued with defining the different types of investors who are needed to foster emerging projects to enable them to proceed and progress. These investors could be friends, family, individual investors or venture capital and funds.

Alammar offered some tips to entrepreneurs like how to choose a great opportunity and promising markets and concern for achieving an income at the earliest opportunity.

He also stressed the importance of communication with a number of investors at the same time, so that the entrepreneur does not spend several months in talking with his project investor who may refuse it at the last moment thus wasting a lot of time.
