Mobily has announced providing its services to King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) through the communications network project.

This comes as part of the active support and mutual cooperation with Emaar, the major developer for KAEC and Economic Cities Authority.

This network will provide the KAEC residents a direct access to all wired and wireless networks in the Kingdom in addition to get through the international communication networks all over the world after Mobily succeeds in the deployment of advanced infrastructure for integrated telecom services in KAEC, in addition to rolling out a fiber optic network.

This giant step allows all KAEC residents, both individuals and the business sector, many advanced services in the world of communications via satellite, such as television transmission through the Internet (IPTV) as well as VPN services: Ethernet, VPN (L2), IP VPN (L3), direct Internet access, broad band at work, business connect and IP transit.

This comes within the strategic agreement that Mobily has already signed with Emaar Economic City for the deployment, operation and maintenance of communication networks within KAEC, amounting SR600 million, which is one of the largest smart economic cities in Saudi Arabia.

Mobily enjoys broad experience in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of integrated communications networks and services, smart cities services, making it the perfect strategic partner at the local and regional levels to build smart and economic cities.

KAEC lies to the north of Jeddah on an area of ​​181 million sqm and embraces the industrial valley, which is on an area of ​​55 million sqm, and is based on six major industrial sectors: Pharmaceuticals, food industry, logistic services, plastic industries, construction materials and vehicles sector.
