Movenpick Hotel Jeddah, in partnership with the Saudi Civil Defense, successfully conducted an evacuation safety drill Thursday. It was attended by Omar Boujlid, GM, Movenpick Hotel Jeddah, other members of the management team and members of the fire and evacuation Unit.

The exercise was in line with the hotel’s initiative to ensure that effective plans and procedures are systematically mapped out and ready to be executed should there be a fire or any other incident that requires evacuation.

“Movenpick Hotel Jeddah recognizes that fire is always a risk, and can pose a serious threat on guests, property and the reputation of our business,” said Omar Boujlid.

“Equipment or electrical malfunctions and busy kitchens are some of the factors that could cause fire to break out, and with high occupancy, minor occurrences can quickly become a serious danger. When people are trained to respond appropriately, the impact of a crisis can be considerably reduced,” he added.
