With one in two hotel guests at the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh visiting the Kingdom for business purposes from international markets, the hotel is retraining its focus on this segment with a bespoke set of services.
Half of its residents are regional and international business tourists from the GCC as well as the UK, United States and Germany. Of the rest, 20 percent tend to be business tourists from domestic markets, including Jeddah, Dammam and Taif.
“We have sensed a massive shift in the needs and requirements of business tourists. Our guests are C-suite executives and consultants, who require, not just state-of-the-art technology at their fingertips but also quick, efficient and seamless service. While they are at our hotel, they are essentially at work and we need to ensure that they have minimum disruption and a luxurious stay. Our offerings of a high-end business center, lounge, spa and fitness center as well as our role as consultants on the destination are key to making sure they have a productive stay,” stated Mikel Ibrahim, the hotel’s sales and market director.
Recognized as the home of business in the city, the hotel claims to transform business trips into memorable experiences through personalized touches that ensure that every need is catered to even before they ask for it. For guests at the hotel, the experience begins with a warm welcome at the airport by a Ritz-Carlton staff member, followed by a limousine transfer to the hotel in a luxury Mercedes S350, BMW 5 or 7 Series. For the frequent business traveler, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards program offers access to a variety of experiences across the hotel’s portfolio with members earning points or airline miles for stays at participating locations worldwide, as well as similar benefits at the Marriott global family of participating hotels.
