Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud, chairman of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, has praised the efforts of

the Riyadh-based Saut: The Voice of Down Syndrome Society.

The society has been serving children with Down syndrome and deserves SABIC’s support like various other social segments through its multitude of CSR programs.

SABIC recently signed a SR10 million grant agreement with Saut to establish and equip an early childhood and primary school building over an area of 4,700 sqm at the Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Schools for Down Syndrome.

Princess Rima bint Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, chair of Saut’s board, praised SABIC’s initiatives to help the community and the society, reflecting its humanitarian role.

She called on other national companies to follow the example of SABIC, which is a leader in its business and always at the forefront of charitable work.

Princess Moudi bint Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, secretary general of Saut, also praised the generous support of SABIC toward fulfilling the rights of young people with Down syndrome who deserve education.

She also highlighted SABIC’s programs for the education and training of these children.

Additionally, Fatima Malak, CEO of Saut, highlighted the efforts and services provided by the society to people with Down syndrome, empowering them to become independent and productive individuals through world-class education, training, research and awareness.

She pointed out that there are about 25,000 people with Down syndrome around the Kingdom who do not have the opportunity to acquire an education.

The Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Schools for Down Syndrome, located in the Hiteen Quarter in Riyadh, accommodates up to 300 students. It provides quality educational and training services to people with Down syndrome — from birth to employment.
