Sanofi KSA has launched its pediatric initiative to promote health for children, in collaboration with Saudi Pediatric Association (SPA).

Under the "Happy children, Healthy children" slogan, Sanofi aims to widen the scope of its health care offerings to young Saudi patients with "innovative" products and services in addition to periodically launching awareness initiatives dedicated to children, parents, health care professionals and public authorities.

Sanofi stated that its efforts take multi approaches toward equipping parents with the best tools to make sure that their kids are strictly prepared to live a healthy and happy life. This initiative is an effective yet fruitful partnership between Sanofi and its entity Sanofi Pasteur and demonstrates the willingness and commitment of Sanofi toward pediatric health care throughout the Kingdom’s most important pediatric symposium, which attracted more than 400 physicians.

Sanofi GM Dr. Salah Mousa said: “Over the years, Sanofi remains an ideal provider of health care solutions and services that address the childhood health issues, from the simplest ones to the life-threatening cases.”

Quoting the latest studies, Saudi Pediatric Association VP Professor Abdulaziz Altuwaim said: “Two percent of children under the age of 5 die from diarrhea and 7 percent of the mortality rate is due to pneumonia. Focusing our attention on improving quality the children health care is fundamental to achieving better health outcomes.”

During the Saudi Pediatric Association’s second pediatric update symposium, he added: “We showcased the newest updates to the pediatric society in Saudi Arabia, supported by the great efforts and solid commitment of Sanofi to boost children’s health care in Saudi Arabia.”
