Dangerous driving

Two chatterboxes occupying the front seats of motor vehicles are dangerous as the motorists are engrossed in text-messaging or talking on a mobile phone.

We frequently see how these two categories of motorists totally neglect their responsibilities behind the wheel. On many occasions we have seen that one has to remind them by tooting the horn that the signal has turned green.

These motorists do not realize the inconvenience they cause to other vehicles behind them and the ultimate danger they face. If you watch them from behind the indication is that they look like debating an issue even the United Nations could not find a solution! Sometimes, you may find the drivers’ hands are off the steering wheel in emphasizing a point they are driving at their companions.

I wish that this to be made a teaching point at the driving school for those seeking new driving license. — S.H. Moulana, Riyadh
