The intoxicatingly beautiful Ramadan bazaar, Bizat Al-Reeh being organized for the 17th time revealed the intimate bond that has developed between haute couture and prêt-à-porter. People gathered together to celebrate under one roof fashion, style, food and other knick-knacks.
Organized by the National Home Health Care Foundation (NHHCF) and launched by Princess Adela bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the chairwoman of the board of directors of the NHHCF, the event opened at the Jeddah Exhibition and Convention Center and was attended by prominent ladies and a large number of visitors.
With a sweeping gesture of creative grandeur, the bazaar brought together an assortment of designers and a variety of high-end designer garments and accessories, along with food and art booths.
The exhibition served the goals of NHHCF and provided an opportunity for entrepreneurs and artistic persons to showcase their products to visitors whose numbers have been increasing year after year.
Stressing the noble goals of holding this exhibition and how it enhances NHHCF’s chronic patient home care programs, Princess Adela said, “This service has a positive impact on both patients and families. Around 2,000 patients benefited from 4,422 medical and social services provided to them by the foundation in the first half of 2016.”
She added that since Bizat Al-Reeh has become an important social affair in the Kingdom and is renowned for its elite attendants, it has not only achieved much success by proving the creativity of Saudi women, but also their harmony and interest for charitable work.
“The large part of our effort focuses on private and public sector partnerships to support the foundation’s programs and provide excellent services to the segments of society that are in dire need of these services. Our efforts will contribute to solving many problems such as the big number of patients who go to hospitals as well as to provide medical care at home since it enhances psychological and social aspects of patients,” she explained.
Princess Adela said that the bazaar has become truly global and offers vibrant fashion and art with a distinct point of view that fits into a specific lifestyle of people.
Around 280 vendors participated in the bazaar, including international participation from French companies and those from other countries. Many local and international entrepreneurs, SMEs and emerging designers also participated in the event.
The participants did not disappoint their visitors. They displayed their collections of kaftans, thobes, traditional jalabiyas, abayas, turbans, bags, jewelry and home and garden accessories. Likewise, many Saudi designers launched their exclusive collections of attires in line with the Ramadan season during the event.
Participating for the third time, Nada Harasani, owner of CRAZE, presented a newly commissioned work, which represented her forward-thinking approach and innovative design practice. She said, “It’s always an amazing experience to be a part of Bizat Al-Reeh since it is embraced by a large number of people, especially by fashion lovers in the Kingdom. Visitors found our expertly curated unique styles and designs very appealing.”
Mashael AlRajhi’s Homme & Femme collection grabbed the attention of the attendees. The founder and owner, Mashael, said: “We are delighted to be a part of such an exhibition and encourage women initiatives that support the Kingdom’s economy and offer business and development opportunities.”
Among the highlights was S&B by Jasmin and Reem, two teen designers, who exhibited their exclusive collection of sophisticated handbags adorned with gems, stones and metallic studs.
Likewise, Ibtihal Al-Amoudi and her sister Berar Al-Amoudi of Sparkles fine contemporary accessories, participated for the first time and said: “We witnessed good footfall from families and women, mainly from those looking for modern unique jewelry. Such exhibitions offer an ideal environment to develop small businesses like ours.”
Ibtihal added: “Bizat Al Reeh recorded exceptional success and high turnout. It was an amazing experience to be able to present our exclusive jewelry and experience the love of the people.”
One designer, Hendam, displayed original pieces and an exclusive capsule collection of kaftans that varied in length, colors and designs to suit all tastes. The collection featured many other outstanding pieces such as floaty flora kaftans with a traditional Arab touch that goes perfectly well with the essence of Ramadan.
Indeed, Bizat Al-Reeh this year was all about stunning outfits and accessories, luxurious home décor and classy abayas.
