We’ve certainly read about several natural ingredients and home remedies that help to perfect our skin. We have also invested in a number of moisturizing lotions, fairness face packs and anti-acne serums when we saw television advertisements claiming instant results. We have also followed a two-week routine of day and night application of those products and unfortunately, when we didn’t notice a change we stopped. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps you need to undergo advanced treatments?
Certified dermatologist Dr. Lillian Khan of JC Clinic explains that it is totally safe! In a recent lecture titled ‘Beautiful Skin, Beautiful You!” she shed light on a couple of advanced treatments and how they can benefit different skin types. Read up to find out some advanced skin care tips you don’t want to miss out on.
Radio Frequency (RF) Micro-Needling
When you notice evident pores on your nose, forehead and chin, you are a victim of oily skin. This skin type is prone to acne. Acne develops on your skin when the pores become blocked by oil, bacteria, and dirt, forming zits. This process happens repeatedly, causing acne. When you have acne, which is an extremely popular skin condition, you will undoubtedly fall prey to scars and redness on your face.
Dr. Lillian recommended the Radio Frequency (RF) Micro-Needling treatment in order to treat acne and their scars. She mentions that the therapy is performed with an Ellisys machine available at her clinic. It is an effective way for acne treatment.
Not only is the Ellisys treatment used for acne or acne scars but the therapy is used to treat the scalp, fine lines and face/neck lifting, stretch marks, scars, large pores and blackheads and furrow or deep lines.
HydraFacial
HydraFacial is yet another kind of in-clinic treatment Dr. Lillian recommended not just for acne prone skin, but also for pigmentation, pre-mature aging skin signs and sensitive skin.
This machine treatment works in four stages, within 45-60 minutes, starting from exfoliation, peeling, extraction and hydration.
Post treatment skin is left neat, supple and rejuvenated. There is a visibility of reduced hyper-pigmentation and even toned complexion can be noticed immediately.
Peels
When you are dissatisfied with regular facials, you may want to go a step ahead. Peels happen to be stronger and more advanced as compared to facials.
Chemical peel treatments have taken the beauty industry by storm and can do wonders when old skin is exfoliated, producing fresh new skin cells. They are also one of the most effective acne and post-acne treatments recommended by Dr. Lillian. It is non-invasive and has relatively less to no side effects. While pain or irritation is tolerable, the results are durable.
Dr. Lillian recommended that peels should be conducted by certified professionals as they are not very gentle.
Laser Hair Removal
With the rise in advanced technology today, hair removal with a razor and creams is passé. A majority of women in Saudi Arabia are inclined to removing their body hair through the laser treatment. The few who still prefer to combat the hairy problem with the help of razors frequently become victims of ingrown hair.
Dr. Khan recommends the laser hair removal treatment to avoid the problematic-ingrown-hair issue.
Mesotherapy
Thank God for Mesotherapy, we’re now able to get rid of all the excessive fat, cellulite and the sumo-boy chunks that we have forever been hiding under our abayas.
The essence of Mesotherapy lies in the tiny needles. They help to cure dozens of health issues and diseases nearly painlessly. The small needles inject various active ingredients into different layers of the skin.
But Mesotherapy not only treats weight loss, it also fights pigmentation, acne, scars, hair fall and other severe medical conditions.
