Many have been sharing photos of their delicious pies on different social media platforms, which made us head there and try for ourselves. And to be honest, we loved it!

The pie store is a small two-floor restaurant located on Malik Road right next to Tujjar Jeddah, neighboring Fa6or Faris and 20 Minutes Burger.

The restaurant is cozy and rustic, decked entirely in wood, from the chairs, tables to the hardwood floors and wall decorations. The ground floor is reserved for singles, while families dine upstairs with a wide window view overlooking Malik Road.

The place is always buzzing with young Jeddawis grabbing a bite on their way to college, school or work. The restaurant is a convenient option due to its healthy food options and the quick service.

The menu offers a variety of options, beginning with salads served with your choice of three kinds of dressings, namely Italian, Caesar or French. Next, is your selection of appetizers, which are all served with fresh vegetables and warm bread. You can choose from a variety of entrées including, labneh, mixed cheese platter, za’atar, boiled eggs, olives, hummus, turkey and roast beef slices or strawberry jam.

Shobak gives you the opportunity to design your own pie by following simple steps that begins with your choice of white or brown dough, then your choice of pie and toppings.

You can choose your pie from Akawi cheeses, Kashkaval, Mozzarella, Gouda, Philadelphia or Cheddar and za’atar is optional. You can also choose hot dog, roast beef, spinach, fillet steak, salmon or any kind of vegetable. If this variety of options isn’t enough for you, check out the sauces, which include a selection of BBQ, sweet onion, tahini, hot sauce and many more flavors. Finally you can choose your style of presentation, open, folded or rolled.

If you want to be creative with your pie, you can choose from their selection of salted and sweet pies. The salmon pie is one of my favorites, made with a spread of Philadelphia cheese and topped with slices of smoked salmon and dill.

The Musakhan, is another recommended choice, made with a Mediterranean twist topped with sliced chicken breasts cooked with sumac, onion and olive oil.

For an Italian flavor, try the Bruschetta made with diced tomatoes mixed with garlic, basil leaves and olive oil topped with mozzarella cheese.

Another must is the mushroom pie made with cooked mushrooms with white cream and topped with mozzarella cheese.

“Not a cheeseburger,” is a very interesting choice; in this pie, buns have been replaced with a closed pie filled with beef burger, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, ketchup and mayonnaise.

You should also try the Mexican style pie “Tostada” made with cooked beans covered with mozzarella, lettuce, tortilla strips and ranch sauce.

The best part of the meal comes at the end with the dessert menu. The Nutella pie is very rich, tasty and warm, served in a white dough closed pie filled with gooey chocolate Nutella. Halawa Tahini is very traditional flavor; it comes in an open pie, drizzled with thick black honey. Finally, for an original rendition of the traditional Lebanese desert, try the Kunafa pie, served warm and sweet, with a generous cheese filling.
