I am a keen reader of Uri Avnery’s articles on Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Despite being an Israeli, he never hesitated in exposing the injustice meted out to the oppressed Palestinians by the Zionist regime. He has contributed equally or more to the Palestinian cause compared to any Palestinian leader, considering the risks he takes from the settlers. Uri’s efforts should be appreciated and commended. I always treasure his frequent e-mails to me in sharing his realistic views about the hardships facing those in the occupied areas. His article ‘Is two-state solution dead?’ (Aug. 3) is worth reading. I liked the part where he has quoted what Bill Clinton had to say about Jerusalem; ‘Leave them where they are. Redraw the map of Jerusalem in such a way that what is Jewish will become part of Israel, what is Arab will be part of Palestine’. What an easy solution! — S.H.Moulana
