The “Lebanese Week,” which included an exhibition of Lebanese handicraft at the residence of Lebanese Consul General Ziad Atallah, came to a successful end. Fifty exhibitors took part.
Zina Atallah, wife of the consul general, told Arab News that the exhibition was part of the Lebanese Week in Jeddah, which was the first of its kind with all the exhibitors being Lebanese women living in Jeddah and having their small business dealing in Lebanese products such as jewelry, accessories, clothes and food.
“The idea was to bring the Lebanese community closer to Saudis ... Because under the circumstances Saudis can’t go to Lebanon, we brought Lebanon to them here in the Kingdom,” she said.
“There were athletic, traditional and cultural activities throughout the week,” she added.
