DUBAI: Aster healthcare are set to distribute 150,000 iftar kits to motorists in collaboration with Dubai Police as part of their annual Ramadan campaign.

The campaign saw over 300 volunteers who assisted in delivering 5,000 food boxes daily to commuters in 13 locations across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman during rush hour traffic.

Last year, the campaign distributed 117,000 Iftar boxes over 30 days. This year’s campaign is expected to distribute 150,000 boxes during the holy month of Ramadan.

The boxes contain a packet of dates, water, a cake, and juice.

A Dubai Police official, Juma Almheiri said this project fosters a sense of community and support among citizens and residents in the UAE.

"We are proud to collaborate with Aster DM Healthcare once again for this impactful initiative during the holy month of Ramadan. This collaboration exemplifies the spirit of compassion and solidarity that defines Ramadan in the UAE," said Almheiri.
