RIYADH: The Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia has condemned recent attacks on the Kingdom’s energy facilities that led to the death of one Saudi national employed by the energy company and injured seven more.

An embassy statement said: “We express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased person and our sincere sympathies to those injured in the attack.

“We also deplore that these attacks damaged important energy facilities in the Kingdom and could potentially add to negative impact on the already strained energy market in the world. We appeal that such attacks on civilian energy facilities should never be repeated by any party.”

The attacks also disrupted a number of operational activities at key facilities within the energy sector.
