HAMBURG: Two trading companies are believed to be taking part so far in the international tender on Wednesday from Jordan’s state grains buyer to purchase up to 120,000 metric tons of animal feed barley, traders said.
Participants were believed to be trading houses Solaris and Bunge.
The two companies had also been the only participants in a separate tender from Jordan for 120,000 tons of wheat on Tuesday.
No barley purchase has yet been reported and results are expected later on Wednesday, traders said.
Shipment is sought in a series of possible combinations in consignments of 50,000 to 60,000 tons between September 16-30, October 1-15 and October 16-31.
