Bentley Motors said in an announcement that Al-Ghassan Motors sold a record number of cars in 2009 and marked a 41 percent increase in its sales performance in 2008.
This dedicated sales effort, accelerated it to the No. 1 position in the Middle East and the No. 2 dealer worldwide for Bentley Motors, according to the manufacturer.
Chris Buxton, regional director for the Middle East, Africa and India region, said: "We are extremely proud to be showing such strong growth in the region at a time when the credit crisis is affecting so many other markets, and we congratulate Al-Ghassan Motors on their amazing performance for the year. With a strong model mix and currency exchange rates in favor of the Middle East customer, we hope this growth will be sustained in 2010."
Founded in 1993, Al-Ghassan Motors has held the franchise for Bentley Motors in the Kingdom since 2005. Dealer Principal Al-Ghassan Abdulrahman said his inspiration was to convert his passion for sport and luxury cars into a successful and rewarding business.
In 2010 the vision was realized when Al-Ghassan Motors has been recognized as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Saudi Arabia for its performance in 2009.
Commenting on this success, Ghassan Al-Sulaiman said: "Rather than aiming to compete on a local level, our company benchmarks itself internationally, aiming to achieve results and service levels that are globally competitive. My vision for the company in the future is to become the recognized market leader in terms of service and product in Saudi Arabia while maintaining the highest international standards."
He added: "Our partnership with Bentley has grown from strength to strength and we are proud to represent this respected British marquee. The introduction of the Continental Supersports to the already successful Continental range has created an increasing desire for Bentley in Saudi Arabia and I look forward to an equally successful 2010."
The overall performance for the Bentley Middle East, Africa and India region decreased slightly by six percent for the 2009 in the Middle East, but the overall growth of the region in terms of the share of worldwide volume has grown from six percent in 2007 to 12 percent of the worldwide total in 2009.
Al-Ghassan Motors has also been the most successful dealer worldwide for sales of the Continental Flying Spur, the 4-door saloon from the Continental family. With the arrival of the Mulsanne, the new flagship saloon car for Bentley later in the year, the future looks "very good" for Bentley in the Middle East.
