DUBAI: Pakistani actors Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed and Armeena Rana Khan attended the glittering music launch of their upcoming highly-anticipated film ‘Bin Roye’ at Vox Cinema BurJuman in Dubai on Sunday.
The film, partly shot in the UAE, will have an Eid release across the Gulf. Following its film release, ‘Bin Roye’ will be made into a TV series featuring the same cast, producers said.
“This is the first time that a Pakistani film will be released across the UAE, Bahrain and Oman. After the overwhelming response to the trailer and songs we have also decided to open the advance tickets sale for the movie weeks before its release,” said Toni Al-Massih, director of distribution and film content at Vox.
Attendees at the star-studded Dubai event were given a sneak-peek of the film’s music, which brings together some of Pakistan’s best, including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, Shiraz Uppal and Waqar Ali. Indian signers Rekha Bhardwaj, Harsheep Kaur and Ankit Tiwari have also lent their voices to the film.
Based on the best-selling novel Bin Roye Ansoo (Tears without crying) by Farhat Ishtiaq, ‘Bin Roye’ (Without crying), is directed by Momina Duraid and Shahzad Kashmiri. The novel is about two sisters whose loyalties to each other are tested by a man.
