It has been reported that some leaders from Commonwealth countries will skip the summit in Colombo. One of them is Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh — a very close ally of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has made elaborate arrangements to welcome these leaders. Skipping this summit by leaders will give a negative message to the people of all Commonwealth nations.
