RIYADH: Jazan Gov. Prince Mohammed bin Nasir will launch a host of health projects in the region on Tuesday.

The launch ceremony will be attended by Health Minister Khalid Al-Falih and other top officials.

The projects include three hospitals with total capacity of 500 beds and 53 primary health care centers, 17 of which are part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s initiative to modernize old primary health care centers.

The facilities are Prince Mohammed bin Nasir Hospital (200 beds), Al-Amal (hope) Hospital for Mental Health and Drug Addiction Therapy (200 beds), and Baish General Hospital (100 beds).

Thanking King Salman for his generous and continuous support for the health sector, Al-Falih said these projects are a part of his ministry’s efforts to extend modern health care facilities to remote areas of the Kingdom.

He also thanked Prince Mohammed bin Nasir, saying that these projects were an outcome his efforts to get modern health care projects in the region, hoping that these modern facilities will extend the best possible health care services to citizens and residents in region.

The minister said these new facilities will be a remarkable addition to the already existing health care facilities, which include 21 hospitals with 2,200 beds with qualified health care personnel and modern medical equipment.
