RIYADH: Gujranwala scored a thrilling one-run win over Royal Fighters to enter the fourth round of the Static Zone Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League and played a the RCL Complex, here.

In other interesting matches, Mehran got the better of Ever Green by 13 runs, Cricketers Cup struggled past NAZ by 17 runs, Pak Cricket Club beat E&Y by 3 wickets and PTI edged past Riderz by 11 runs.

In what turned up to be one-sided affairs, Shaheen routed Insaf by 7 wickets, Sager eased past Maestro by 30 runs, Pure Health breezed past Chanar-XI by 7 wickets and OSN Warriors Club ousts Shaheen-XI by 73 runs.

The highlights of the day were, centuries by Nazar Abbas and Muhammed Hussain. Mushtaq, Bilal, Shakeel and Sikandar impressed with the ball.

In the best match of the day, Gujranwala made first use of the pitch set their rivals an achievable target of 151 for a win. Irfan (33), Imran (29), Zubair (15), Amir (13) and Usman (14) were the main run getters. Tawaf and Madani S bagged 2 wickets each.
