Keeping that in mind, Desi Entertainers’ organized Desi Cruise 3, an evening for cultural exchange. Expats enjoyed the performance of Khwaja Danish, a talented singer from Pakistan. He sang a very popular song, called Sada Hak Itthe Rak, to which the audience sang along and kids joined him in the chorus.

Local talent also entertained the families with music, dance, children programs and games. The HNL Band from the Philippines enthralled the audience on the cruise with a few numbers. India’s Nightingales performed Arabic and Hindi songs and mesmerized the audience. Salman Saleem and Mujtaba Butt did their duo performance by singing Tum Hi Ho from Ashiqui 2 and Salman Khan’s number Jeeny Kay Hain Char Din. The DJ of the night, Momo, played feet tapping numbers and made the journey lively.

Families participated in games, quiz competitions and won surprise gifts. Kids had their face painted with their favorite superheroes and smiley’s. A special dance sequence was planned for the kids to showcase their joy and excitement.

The hosts of the evening were Morad, Tanzeem Siddiqui and Ibrahim Malik.

Kahkashan Siddiqui and Mohammad Al-Mohammadi hosted the gaming session for the couples and kids.

Mohammed Al-Mohammedi, founder of the Desi entertainment group, said communication is the only bridge to unite the communities. To remove communication barriers there is need to take a step ahead and introduce traditions and cultures of different countries. “This way we will be able to share knowledge and gain information about other societies across the globe,” he said.
