Abdul Latif Jameel Heavy Equipment, a company under Abdul Latif Jameel Group, has announced plans to build and operate a state-of-the-art facility in Jeddah. The company was designed to provide easy access to customers as well as best-in-class services in the heavy equipment sector.

The announcement was made during a ground breaking ceremony which was attended by Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, chairman & president of ALJ Group and Hassan Jameel, deputy president and vice chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel Domestic Operations. Representing Abdul Latif Jameel Heavy Equipment was M. Arif Chishti, managing director, as well as well as the senior management teams of the consultant and contractor for the project.

“Customer satisfaction is key to the success of any business, whether it be small or large,” said Hassan Jameel. “We are confident that once this new facility is operational, our customers and partners will not only benefit from easier access to their equipment, but they will also be able to tap into our pool of expertise and local industry knowledge.”

Located close to the Harmain road in Jeddah, the facility will boast a comprehensive layout including a guest reception area, parts counter and warehouse, multiple workshop bays, a component rebuild area, training center and equipment test area. As part of its network expansion strategy, Abdul Latif Jameel Heavy Equipment also plans to build modern facilities in further locations in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Dammam and Abha.
