Al-Rabie Saudi Food Company Ltd. took part in the World Diabetics Day, which was held on the Jeddah Corniche with the support of Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

On behalf of the Prince Khaled, Abdulaziz Alkhodairy, deputy governor of Makkah, opened the event under the slogan "Steps for better tomorrow" in the presence of a large number of government officials and public dignitaries.

Following the opening ceremony, Alkhodairy, toured the exhibition which was organized by the public and private health sector; thereafter, he and the participants walked 1 km along the seaside where the sky was filled with blue balloons.

The event aims to enhance awareness among diabetics of associated therapy and preventive measures as well as nutrition required supported by medical advice.

Alshareef Munzer Alharthy, CEO of Al-Rabie, stated that his firm took pride in taking part in the event, which aims to boost awareness among diabetics and how to reduce risks and factors that enhance such diseases, and protective measures needed for better health.

Al-Rabie products were distributed to participants who walked 1 km along with other visitors to the exhibition.

The event was marked by providing advice and distribution of printed materials as a matter of education and information.

Such events are sponsored by Makkah Governorate, Ministry of Health, King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Um Al-Qura University and King Faisal Specialist Hospital.
