Al-Suaidi group signed a contract recently with Abahusain heavy transport contract company to buy giant cranes worth up to SR30 million.

Speaking to media, Jassim bin Mohmmed Al-Suaidi, chairman of Al-Suaidi group, said that this deal has been struck in order to keep pace with market requirement and the expansion of the oil and gas sectors as well as electrical and other fields, and to help meet the demand for cranes in the coming years.

Al-Suaidi pointed out that the reason for buying such cranes was to meet the customers’ demand and renewing the fleet by injecting new cranes to go ahead in business, and restructuring the old equipment.

Regarding the impact on the labor market, Al-Suwaidi confirmed: "There isn’t great impact, however, contracting companies follow specific measurements and requirements to ensure safety as well as the plans of customers projects."

He added: “The cranes market in the Kingdom is promising and growing as we have approximately 4,000 different types of cranes with different specialties,” Al-Suwaidi said.

Al-Swaidi group is involved in training and qualifying the staff by providing information and safety courses, which help employees to commit to safety during their work.
