Altfouk Almarefi Al-Ahleyahh Schools announced the launch of Nun Academy, an international bilingual school at a meeting held in Jeddah recently.

The new school will open in September, the event hosts told the meeting in the presence of Peje Emilsson, chairman and CEO of Kunskapsskolan Education, parents and all those interested in education.

Nun Academy is described as a new private international bilingual school aimed at providing a bilingual program that challenges the students to discover their full potential and prepare them for the best universities in the world, yet still have them grounded in their religious, linguistic and cultural heritage.

Through its partnership with the Swedish Kunskapsskolan Education Group (KED), which has a track record of operating 43 schools, with 15,000 students, and 1500 teachers on 3 continents, the academy has become part of the global network and will be the first school in the Kingdom that will apply the KED program.

The program is considered to be a modern teaching technique that puts the students at the center of all activities in the school and prepares them for the globalized world by grounding them locally while exposing them globally, and encouraging them to be active members in their community.

Nun also offers “highly competent and well experienced” tutors who will stimulate the students and encourage them to plan and invest their abilities into achieving their personal goals.

This thus enables them to gain high academic results as also help build the students’ characters by enhancing their communication and self-learning skills.

This program will support the students and teachers through the Learning Portal, an online digital learning network, which provides them with an interactive learning environment.

The curriculum for the new school is based on the Ministry of Education guidelines and developed on the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE) pattern.
