GCC Waste Management and Recycling Forum, which was held in Riyadh from April 13-14, had thousands of visitors and hundreds of municipality representatives from across the GCC region.

Averda, a sponsor of this regional event organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, gave at its stand a detailed description of its activities related to waste management services and city cleaning in Saudi Arabia.

Live demonstrations of Averda’s innovative recycling technology using the reverse vending machine (RVM) were made and the various incentivizing options presented, ranging from supermarket vouchers to airline miles.

Averda’s operations in the Kingdom started in 2009. Until earlier this year, its activities mainly consisted of servicing the commercial/private sector.
