The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) organized a reception in Manama, with the support of Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa, to present Pravasi Mithra Award to K.T. Mohammed Rabeeh Rabeeulla, one of the most successful businessmen in the Gulf and an outstanding philanthropist.
Rabeeulla is the chairman and MD of Shifa Al Jazeera Medical group, a major health care conglomerate in the GCC.
Over the last 30 years, he has expanded the group, which now operates over 20 medical centers, a hospital and a chain of pharmacies.
Rabeeulla, who is involved in philanthropic activities, has been conferred with Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, the highest honor accorded to Indians overseas for their pioneering role in enhancing India’s image globally.
Abdu Samad Samadani, MP, scholar and academician, was the chief guest.
Shaikha Noora presented BKS Pravasi Mithra Award to Rabeeulla at the function.
Bahrain Parliament Member Adel Al-Assomi and Kairali Middle East Director E.M. Ashraf were the guests of honor. Citation was presented to Rabeeulla by M.P. Abdu Samad Samadani.
Samajam President announced the life membership for K.T. Rabeeulla. He added that the new hall to be inaugurated soon will be named after Rabeeulla.
Award ceremony included a cultural program by Samajam children. Samajam President P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai. Samajam General Secretary N.K. Veeramani, BKS executive committee members, Samajam members and invitees were present.
