Dr. Hassan Shaibah, dean of Batterjee Medical College (BMC), says that the college is constantly working on developing a well-built strategic plan in order to improve its academic curriculums, attract distinguished faculty members and establish partnerships with local and international universities.

All this is being done as part of the effort to improve its performance and achieve academic excellence, he said while addressing a delegation from the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies at the University of Umm Al-Qura.

"BMC is committed to develop teaching, learning and scientific research," he added.

The delegation was chaired by the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Ali Al-Shari, and accompanied by Undersecretary of the Institute Hamdan Al-Ghamdi, Vice Dean of Professional Accreditation Sahl Wahib, and Head of Quality Department and Consulting Studies Supervisor Ahmed Al-Ghamdi. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Shaibah, Dr. Osama Kensara, vice dean of academic affairs, Dr. Ala Sultan, vice dean of hospital affairs, and Dr. Hawazin Mutawie, vice dean of the female section.

The parties discussed possible ways of cooperation and proposed ideas to be considered for partnerships in order to exchange experiences and benefit from one another's successes.

Sobhi Batterjee, chairman of the board of trustees, expressed his sincere appreciation of the unlimited support received by BMC from Bakri Assas, director of Umm Al-Qura University.

He stressed BMC’s keenness to enhance the overall quality through scientific and academic cooperation with local and international universities.
