BMW Group is continuing to highlight both the importance and success of the Middle East (ME) through a visit by the automotive manufacturer’s head of importer markets.

Bernhard Kuhnt, BMW Group’s SVP of importer regions, held meetings with BMW Group importers in the region’s three biggest markets — Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait.

The executive tour of the region, currently the group’s third largest market for sales of the 7 Series model, included exclusive preview events of the flagship model, and comes as the brand prepares for the Dubai International Motor Show 2015, where the all-new 7 Series will be headlining at the BMW stand.

With responsibility for BMW Group sales in 77 countries, Kuhnt also used the trip as an opportunity to meet with BMW customers and get an in-depth business overview of the region and each importer market.

Kuhnt said: “The Middle East is a dynamic and exciting region and as third largest market for our flagship 7 Series model, one of great importance for BMW Group. It is encouraging to see the great work our importers are doing and across the entire region in both meeting and exceeding the expectations of our loyal and growing customer base.”

During a recent visit in Saudi Arabia for the market preview of the all-new 7 Series, Kuhnt also used the opportunity to congratulate Saudi importer Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors (MYNM) on its 25th anniversary as a BMW Group importer.

“MYNM is indicative of the strong network of partners we have established region-wide,” Kuhnt added.

Johannes Seibert, MD, BMW Group Middle East, said: “Bernhard’s tour of the region reinforces both the success and commitment of our regional partners to BMW Group, as well as the support and commitment of the Group to our strong and active network of importers.”
