Malabar Gold & Diamonds, a major jewelry retailer, opened its new outlet — the company’s 132nd — in Doha, Qatar.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan inaugurated the showroom on April 23, in the presence of Sanjiv Arora, India’s ambassador to Qatar; M.P. Ahammed, chairman, Malabar Group; Shamlal Ahamed M.P., MD-international operations; and Abdul Salam K.P., group executive director.

Located at Lulu Hypermarket, D-ring road, Doha, the new showroom takes the total number of Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom in Qatar to six.

“Each piece meticulously crafted in gold, platinum, diamonds and precious stones is not only unique, but also expresses the personality of the wearer, ultimately becoming an exclusive style statement,” the company states.

The company’s branded jewelry segment includes Ethnix — handcrafted designer jewelry, Era — uncut diamond jewelry, Mine — diamonds unlimited, Divine- Indian heritage jewelry, Precia — precious gem jewelry and Starlet — kids jewelry.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds, which operates 55 international showrooms in the GCC and Singapore, plans for more showrooms in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait in the coming months.

Kareena will inaugurate its showrooms in Kuala Lumpur and in Manama, Bahrain on May 9 and 14, respectively.

The new outlet also takes part in its festive campaign — The Great Gold Rush — giving the customers a life changing opportunity to win 25 kilo gold until June 30.

With every purchase of gold jewelry worth QR500, the customers get a chance to enter raffle draws to win 1 kg gold each in two draws. Those who buy diamond jewelry worth QR500 will get two raffle coupons and double the chance to win.
