Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) Gov. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Darrab inspected the preparations of Mobily for the 1435H Haj season. Nasser Al-Nasser, chief operating officer, and a number of other Mobily executives accorded the governor a reception at Mobily’s headquarter at Muzdalifah.

Al-Nasser welcomed the governor and reviewed the company’s efforts exerted on all levels to continue the journey of success and achievements implemented during the previous Haj seasons.

Alaa Malki, chief network design officer, gave an extensive presentation on the infrastructure development projects in Al-Mashaer area and in the Central Zone of Haram praising the role of the FTTH network in connecting Mobily’s mobile and fixed towers, including Al-Jamarat bridge,‏ which ensures smooth transmission of international and domestic calls in a convenient way. He noted that Mobily works every year on the development of its network with the latest advanced technologies in the world.

Al-Nasser clarified that the role played by Mobily will be very close to pilgrims in all places visited by them, whether through the main branches and outlets or through the POS deployed in the holy sites, airports, seaports and Miqat locations, noting that Mobily made a number of special offers and packages that allow the pilgrims to communicate with their families at competitive prices.

Khalid Al Kaf, MD and CEO of Mobily, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the governor for his visit, which reflects his keenness to follow up the efforts and preparations of the telecommunications companies for serving the pilgrims.

Al-Kaf confirmed that Mobily has mobilized all its human, technical and financial potentials to provide the most sophisticated communication services that would allow the pilgrims to perform their Haj rituals peacefully and then return to their home countries safely.
