KAPSARC is an independent, non-profit research institution dedicated to researching energy economics, policy, technology and the environment across all types of energy. The center aims to advance the understanding of challenges and opportunities facing the world today through unbiased and high-caliber research.

Located in Riyadh, the KAPSARC Project, a Saudi Aramco venture was completed in late 2014 and has three elements — the office complex, residential campus and a 5 MWp solar power plant. It is composed of a network of three-dimensional six sided cells with many interconnections.
