Etihad Airways has won the World’s Leading Airline award for the seventh consecutive year at the annual World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony held in El Jadida, Morocco.

The airline also picked up the World’s Leading First Class, World’s Leading Inflight Entertainment, and World’s Leading Cabin Crew awards.

The quartet of awards ends a year of achievement for the national airline of the UAE, which included the entry into service of its flagship Airbus A380s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners, boasting the “world’s most innovative and highly customized commercial aircraft cabins, newly designed products and inflight services, and the introduction of its new livery and uniform.”

Etihad Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer Peter Baumgartner said: “Once again, Etihad Airways’ commitment to reimagining flying earned us some of the industry’s highest accolades, including World’s Leading Airline for the seventh year in a row. World Travel Awards Founder and President Graham E. Our international voters have recognized the UAE flag-carrier’s commitment to luxurious travel and acknowledged Etihad Airways’ ambition to redefine how airlines operate in the 21st century.”

On Dec. 4, the airline was awarded the Air Transport World (ATW) Airline of the year 2016 award. The airline also collected the Best First Class award at the Ultratravel Awards held in Dubai.
