Gulf Elevators & Escalators Company announced recently the signing of a cooperation agreement with Kawas Engineering Company in Oman, which makes Kawas the sole distributor for the Japanese Fuji elevators within the Oman market.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of Gulf Elevators & Escalators, Jeddah, in the presence of both Mutaib bin Fahd Al-Tuais, CEO and director of Gulf Elevators Company, and Ali bin Abdullah Al-Bady, chairman of Kawas Engineering Company.

As per the agreement, Kawas will be responsible for the marketing and distribution of all Gulf Elevators’ products manufactured at the company 's factory in Jeddah according to the latest technology, standards and specifications acquired through collaboration with the Tokyo-based Fuji.

Mutaib Al-Tuais stated that the cooperation agreement follows the company’s plan of expanding the marketing of its products within the GCC and the rest of the Middle East; it also has great importance in meeting the customer's needs within the Oman market to provide the highest levels of value and satisfaction.

Gulf Elevators & Escalators was established in Jeddah in 1999, through a strategic and technical cooperation with Fuji to manufacture, market, install and maintain Fuji elevators in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the Middle East, thus becoming the first company to manufacture elevators in the region.
