GulfBID 2015, the region’s major expo for construction and building materials, taking place at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from May 12-14, has a strong representation of companies from Saudi Arabia.

“The business value of GulfBid is seen through the strategic sponsorship given to the event by Haji Hassan Group and KMC Holdings, says Jubran Abdulrahman, MD of Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions, organizer of the event.

Haji Hassan Group covers 13 sectors that specialize in the manufacturing of construction materials, road infrastructure, bridges and flyover projects, and real estate development. Bahrain-based KMC Holdings provides total solution packages from KMC’s various divisions for the construction sector.

“GulfBID 2015 will provide quality exposure, including market ‘cut through’ and the opportunity to generate leads in establishing future business relationships among not just with the visitors but also within the complimentary exhibitions taking place with industry leaders from Bahrain’s interior design and real estate development industry,” Abdulrahman added.

Last year, GulfBID attracted more than 7,100 local and regional visitors, including a targeted audience of real estate developers, manufacturers, agents, distributors and dealers, investors, contractors, interior designers, architects, purchasing and procurement managers. The popularity of the exhibition is expected to increase for the 2015 edition.

The show has attracted a number of companies from Saudi Arabia, including Al-Koblan Thermopipe, Al-Rezayat Protective Coating, Gulf Scaffolding Company, Al Dweik Factory, Plastbau Arabia Company, Concrete Technology, Riyadh Crane Technology, Shade Technology and Bonar Natpet.

“These companies are not only looking to access the opportunities of the Bahrain market, which itself is embarking on some major projects over the coming months, but also are looking to take advantage of Bahrain as a MICE center to meet new and existing clients and principals,” Abdulrahman added.
