SUNTOP’s year star competition, which is based on the names of Saudi cities, was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jeddah.
Its grand prize winner was declared from among 17 contestants. Yara Mohamed Rashidi of Hail won the year star title. iPad and iPhone were among the gifts presented.
The 17 cities represented included Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Yanbu, Hafr Al-Batin, Jazan, Najran, Tabuk, Taif, Hofuf, Buraidah and Abha, aside from Hail.
In all, 113,000 children between 5 and 13 years of age took part in the competition through 35 sites provided by Binzagr Kourou company.
Binzagr Company expressed its thanks and gratitude to everyone who participated in this event and stated that it would organize similar star year contests in the coming years to discover and reward talent.
