Nearly 120 exhibitors from 20 countries took part in the Saudi health and beauty market at the third Health & Beauty Expo, which opened at the Jeddah Hilton on Sunday.
Prince Abdullah bin Saud, chairman of the tourism committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), inaugurated the exhibition along with Haya Sunaidi, chairman of the expo organizing committee.
Prince Abdullah toured the exhibition and stressed the importance of promoting awareness of the value of sports in society to control diseases that significantly increases the budget of the Ministry of Health.
Statistics indicate that the Saudi health and beauty market is the highest growing in the Middle East with an 11 percent market growth rate, with plastic surgery clinics remarkably increasing during the past five years.
He suggested that Saudi companies should expand partnerships with international peers participating in the exhibition to help Saudi industrial entities become more powerful, increase production and access global markets, as part of meeting the Vision 2030 goals.
Haya Sunaidi said the expo is not limited to showcasing products but it also holds many initiatives, out of which are the training and development of cadres, showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in the health and beauty sector, a natural products section, and the participation of six international and three local companies, which will help in the growth of natural products.
Nada Zrnoqi, dean for women at the Technical and Vocational Training Institute-Jeddah, said the institute is participating in the exhibition to provide training Saudi women in makeup and skin consultation.
