Hilton Worldwide has announced that it has signed definitive agreements with CFLB Partnership LLC to open and operate a 290-room Conrad Hotels & Resorts branded residence and resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Currently undergoing a more than $34 million renovation and property enhancements, the 24 storied oceanfront US property has an anticipated opening in 2015.

This exciting project reflects the brand's intent to have a world-class presence in gateway cities and the most sought-after resort destinations,” said John T. A. “Conrad Fort Lauderdale will represent a destination for a new generation of global luxury travelers for whom life, business and pleasure seamlessly intersect,” he added.

Located on a prime two-acre block between Sunrise and Las Olas Boulevards, the property is being elevated to the next level of luxury and will include a state-of-the-art fitness center, Conrad spa, an exclusive oceanfront dining experience, beach concierge, elevated pool deck oasis with a swimming pool, poolside restaurant and bar, and gourmet market.

Originally designed by renowned architect Michael Graves, the property is being updated with new architectural and design features by Garcia Stromberg firm in collaboration with interior design firm Edge of Architecture. Upgrades include a porte cochere entrance with 24-hour valet service, an enhanced lobby experience, and a striking new glass-encased meeting and banquet area connecting the resort property’s two towers three stories above ground level.
