Hilton properties in Saudi Arabia joined fellow members of Hilton Worldwide to celebrate the hospitality icon’s third annual Global Week of Service, a week of volunteerism that complements the hotelier’s year-round CSR activities.

The activity forms part of Hilton Worldwide’s third annual Global Week of Service. The week-long celebration held from Oct. 19-25 showed the company’s commitment to serving and enriching the communities where it lives, works and travels.

This year, the company is building upon this community engagement and is striving to complete more than 3,000 service projects.

In 2013, team members at more than 900 properties and offices completed more than 2,400 volunteer projects focused on engaging them and delivering on Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to travel with purpose by creating opportunities, strengthening communities, celebrating cultures and living sustainably.

During Global Week of Service, team members are encouraged to share their personal stories of service and hospitality. Throughout the week, photos and stories were posted online, on the Hilton Worldwide Facebook page and on the HiltonWorldwide Twitter account.

“We strongly believe in being part of the community where our employees live and work,” said Mahmoud Mokhtar, VP operations, Saudi Arabia, Hilton Worldwide.

“It is our community, the bedrock and one of the key ingredients to our success as hoteliers. We have a clear stake in ensuring that the communities where we work, live and travel are strong and thriving and we are committed to playing a proactive part in contributing to enriching the lives of our neighbors and community partners.”
