King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) sponsored the annual conference of the Institute of Imagination and Ingenuity (i2) under the slogan "From the impossible to the influential.”

The conference was organized by the Institute in Riyadh to celebrate the graduation of the first batch of students participating in the institute's program that is described as a one of a kind in the Arab region.

The conference was attended by a group of young businessmen who displayed their experiences and achievements in the areas of intellectual development and scientific research, after having spent more than eight months completing an integrated program in the Harvard Creative Laboratories (iLab) and the Media Laboratory, which is an affiliate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Hayat Sindi, founder and CEO of the Institute for Imagination and Ingenuity (i2), said: “The annual conference, which was dedicated to young Middle Easterners in the presence of investors and leading businessmen, represents an important milestone in the history of the institute since it establishes a platform for ideas related to creative projects.”

Fahd Hamidaddin, head of marketing, communications and sustainability in KAEC, said: "This conference is a documentation of KAEC’s commitment to serving the community and contributing to social development in its capacity as an integrated economic city that is not limited to attracting investments and the development of industries only, but also aims to attract and develop national cadres and motivate their creative, innovative, intellectual and leadership qualities in order for them to play a distinctive role in serving the Kingdom and the region in general."

KAEC has embraced many cultural, intellectual and developmental events at both local and international levels, most recently the “Your way to successful entrepreneurship” workshop, which was attended by 50 students from King Abdulaziz University in Rabigh.
