“Saudi Arabia is the leading automotive market of the region and of great strategic importance for Kumho. We, being a global tire brand known for quality and innovation, are keen to claim our due share in the Saudi market,” said Kumho Tires Vice President S.K. Lee, who was visiting the company’s exclusive agent in the Kingdom — Tire Service Center Company (TSC).
TSC is a part of Arabian Hala group that represents brands like Avis rent-a-car, Naqel (a joint venture with Saudi Post), Hala Supply Chain Services, Morris Garage (MG) vehicles, etc.
Lee was welcomed by Husam Al-Saleh, deputy CEO of Arabian Hala, Amir Khurshid, GM, TSC, with senior company officials. Minseok Lee, GM, Kumho Tires in Saudi Arabia, was also present on the occasion.
Husam Al-Saleh briefed the guest on the Saudi economy and demographics. He also gave a presentation about Arabian Hala group’s history and its current business interests.
Khurshid reviewed the Kumho Tires’ year-to-date performance and highlighted the recent measures taken toward business development. Lee expressed his satisfaction over TSC’s performance and strategic direction.
Earlier, Lee opened the Tire Service Center at the company’s new head office at Saudi Business Center in Jeddah. The company has its presence in Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam and Abha and further extends the network through its dealers and franchisees. The new Jeddah office is aimed to focus more on the Western Region and also help improve the logistics flow from the Jeddah Islamic Port.
“I am grateful to Lee for his visit to the Kingdom. Kumho is a world-known brand that has the trust of manufacturers like GM, Ford, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Chrysler, besides Hyundai, KIA and Ssangyong,” said Husam Al-Saleh. “This indeed is a valuable addition to Arabian Hala’s carefully selected portfolio of quality brands,” he added.
