Minister of Labor Adel Fakeih was received by Khalid Al-Kaf, MD and CEO of Mobily, and other top executives when he visited Mobily's Female Contact Center in (FCC) Jeddah.

The minister was conducted on a tour of the departments and contents of the FCC, and briefed about the center and how female employees perform their work with ease and convenience, and in compliance with Islamic terms and requirements.

Al-Kaf explained the role played by Mobily in creating proper work environment for women and meeting all their requirements. “Mobily already has recruited more than 700 Saudi women, with 320 of them currently working in customer service,” he added.

The minister was also briefed about the work of representatives of the customer service program enabling women to operate from home.

The minister was visibly impressed by Mobily's program to train the girls on the maintenance of mobiles. He had earlier sponsored the graduation of the first batch of 400 girls under this program who entered the labor market, in collaboration with the National Institute Specialist Training for Women in Jeddah.

Training of 1,000 Saudi girls is being targeted under the program, as also in the maintenance of mobile phones over the next three years. This is the first batch of girls nominated by charity associations and social institutions and centers in Jeddah and the neighboring provinces.

Mobily says it is keen to empower female employees to work in different sections taking into account the need for their suitability and privacy. They are currently working in different sections like collection, companies, customer care, quality control, social communication, technical support, and work from home and FCC.
