The Saudi National Day being special, LG and Qimmam are taking the Saudi flag to Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.

Celebrating the National Day this year has a special and unique flavor. As millions of Saudis celebrate this day in Saudi Arabia and wherever they are around the globe, the Saudi flag will be taken up to the roof of Africa, and the closest to the clouds and mountains.

Some young Saudis and friends from different nationalities (Egyptian, Syrian, South Korean) living in Saudi Arabia, have decided to take the extra mile to celebrate the National Day by climbing Kilimanjaro so that by Sept. 24, they will reach the peak of this mountain to fly the Saudi flag with the support of South Korea’s LG Electronics Saudi Arabia.

“When Qimmam came to us with the concept, our decision to sponsor and support it was quickly taken. We found it an excellent tribute to the Kingdom, its leadership and people, on their National Day, in style and in line with LG’s campaign encouraging people to live a life with nature, outdoor and adventure,” Deuk Soo Ahn, president of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said.

He added: “As part of the celebration, LG is highlighting its slogan ‘Life is good’ the LG way. May this day be a memorable event for years to come and we wish Saudi Arabia, its leaders and people the very best ever.”

As part of sponsoring the event, LG is providing its new flagship smart phone LG G4, so the Kilimanjaro mountain climbers can live and save the adventure through the phone by using many of its features, including camera that comes with 16 MP and supported by the improved OIS+ technology, health application and screen with IPS Quantom display.
