With a total of 24 weekly departures from Saudi Arabia, Lufthansa is operating its largest ever schedule providing first choice travel flexibility to customers flying to Frankfurt or Munich and beyond.

The airline has increased its services between Dammam and Frankfurt to a daily flight with immediate effect. Additionally, Lufthansa flies daily between Jeddah and Frankfurt, daily between Riyadh and Frankfurt and three times weekly between Riyadh and Munich.

Lufthansa increased its presence in Saudi Arabia over the past years. In 2009, the German airline upgraded its services from Riyadh and Jeddah to a daily flight on each route. In April 2010 it introduced three weekly flights between the Saudi capital and its Munich gateway in southern Germany.

Over these years Lufthansa stayed a reliable partner in connecting the central area of the Gulf with Europe and beyond. This year Lufthansa expects the passenger numbers between both countries will climb above 200,000 passengers. Via Europe’s most punctual hub in Frankfurt, business and leisure travelers from the Kingdom can reach over 200 destinations in 80 countries.

In total, Lufthansa serves 14 destinations in 11 countries in the Middle East. In addition to the Saudi flight plan, Lufthansa flies double daily to Dubai. Daily services are operated to Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Muscat, Doha and Bahrain.
