LuLu has been celebrating the mango festival ever since its entry into Saudi Arabia.
“Mango, also known as the king of fruits, appeals to everyone. We have taken great care to introduce a wide variety of the fruit this year. Alphonso, badami, kesar, rajapuri, langra, totapoori, deseri are some of the types displayed at the festival, which are being sourced from India, Kenya, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Peru, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica, Uganda and Burkina Faso. Also on show are some locally produced mango varieties. The recent past has seen a marked rise in cultivation of Indian mangoes.
“For LuLu Hypermarket, the most widely recognized face of the LuLu group, this event is another way to show its commitment toward building a diverse and richer shopping experience. It has come to epitomize excellence in retailing at reasonable prices, and activities such as mango festival keep giving customers something to look forward to, adding to their experience,” the company stated.
LuLu will also hold a drawing competition for children during the weekends and another contest in which shoppers will have to guess the 10 different varieties of mango by tasting them. The winners will be presented gifts, said a management executive of the company. Over the coming weeks, Lulu will add more varieties of mango, offering its customers a wider choice.
LuLu Hypermarket, the retail division of the multidimensional and multinational LuLu Group International, has always been known as a trend setter of the retail industry in the region, he added.
