Reza Food Services Co. Ltd., exclusive McDonald’s franchisee for the Western and Southern regions of the Kingdom, was involved in a number of community activities during the holy month of Ramadan. It undertook three initiatives, including the Ramadan Books campaign, Gathering of Hope and the Hakawati program.

As an active partner in the community, McDonald’s works toward maintaining strong ties with its consumers while staying committed to being a responsible corporate citizen by giving back to the community through charitable efforts, activities and campaigns.

Mohammed Alireza, AGM, REZA Food Services Co. Ltd., said: “Ramadan is always a busy month for us, with all the activities taking place. We wanted to provide children with a creative forum this year, which is why we organized the Hakawati program. We also wanted them to absorb the importance of community and giving back, and so we decided to launch the Ramadan Books series for the third time. With every book bought, a child will feel like they contributed to the SR200,000 that was raised for charities around the area.”

“We are always proud to serve our community through a number of initiatives and activities. It brings us great joy and satisfaction in being able to create memorable moments for young children. Giving back is an essential constituent of our philosophy that we adhere to on a daily basis at McDonald’s,” Alireza added.

Around 20,000 books were sold across all their branches in the Western and Southern regions of the Kingdom, as part of a larger campaign that took place around the Kingdom, with 100 percent of the book sales, roughly SR200,000, going directly to four local charitable organizations, including, Noura Center for the Caring and Development of Special Needs in Jeddah, Asdiqa Charity Organization Makkah, Rufaqaa Charity Organization Najran and Friends of Jeddah Parks Charity Organization.”
