Riyadh Marriott Hotel recently hosted the Mexican Food Festival at its Mosaic Mediterranean Restaurant.

The festival that opened on December 8 was extended up to December 19 due to its impressive run.

The event was also a big hit when it was held for the firs time in May 2008.

Known for its successful hosting of different festivities and themes like Spanish Festival and last year’s remarkable “A Taste of Canada”, Riyadh Marriott undoubtedly thought to conduct a repeat of the 2008 hit Mexican Food Festival.

Ambassador Jose Arturo Trejo Nava of the Mexican Embassy in Riyadh addressed the opening ceremony.

He and Muin Serhan, general manager of Riyadh Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments Riyadh, Makarim, said events like the Mexican festival strengthen the relationship between both countries and give and opportunity to residents to learn more about Mexico.

Authentic Mexican cuisines from Mexican Chef Santos Cornelio of Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi were served in a buffet set-up at the Mosaic Mediterranean Restaurant. Selected A La Carte menus were offered at Terrace Grill.

Avid Mexican food lovers have no reason to be sad though as the Mexican theme will be part of the Mosaic Mediterranean Restaurant’s weekly theme nights during the first quarter of 2014 together with Italian, seafood, family barbeque, international and the Friday brunch.
